Kuresaare
Greetings from the island of Saarema.
Today we drove from Tallinn, a four-hour journey. It was bad weather today, with the strongest winds I’ve ever had here. The ferry fide to the island was especially rough, and Annette Atwood needed several hours to recover.
As we left the boat, we met Kuldar and Margaret Kaljuste for lunch as Padaste Manor After a rough ferry ride, it was a great comfort.
Then we drove the final hour to our destination and checked in at the hotel. At 5 we went to Siion Church to meet Pastor Margus Mahmets. We had a nice tour and visit and exchanged gifts. (Pastor Mahmets is one of the students who we paid for seminary tuition, now the pastor of the second largest Union church, 260 members.
After shopping for some supplies, we returned for a nice supper.
Tomorrow we go to Parnu, about another four-hour journey. Tomorrow night at 6 the “Summer Days” conference officially starts and then there is a choir concert at 8. Pray that the ferry ride would go better for the Atwoods–I’m sure Annette is worried about it.
Keep us in your prayers.
